Project Objectives:
Assessment of adequate shelf life for two food products packaged in metal containers coated with CFPA
Assessment of adequate shelf life for target food products selected by industrial partners, packaged in flexible packaging coated with cellulose nanocrystal-based formulations developed in WP2
Extension of shelf life for deli counter food products—such as fish, meat, cheese, and cold cuts—packaged in antimicrobial coated papers under simulated conditions (refrigerated storage)
Verification of proper recyclability or optimal end-of-life management for all tested substrates, in collaboration with a major local multi-utility company.
Objectives Achieved:
- Identification of current and future End-of-Waste (EOW) streams for each type of packaging
- Verification of recyclability of all developed structures, with confirmation provided by the local waste management multi-utility
This project is funded by the European Funds of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
